Hearts of Gratitude

Look at the list you have been circling.  How many things has God helped you with over the last 40 days?   Can you see His hand?

I looked at my list and reflect over the last 40 days.  As the days go by and things happen I like to put little purple hearts of gratitude next to them.

This has probably been my most peaceful holiday season, even with a full calendar and all the busyness of the season, I stayed grounded and pretty relaxed.

I even had FUN.  I usually dread wrapping presents, but this year I wrapped a little every day while watching a fun show on Netflix. I had fun with my family too.  When I in the past would have said no, or it is too late to watch that movie.  I remembered, the goal is to have fun and connect so I said Yes.  It was over break, so no school to wake up for.  It was fun.  🙂

I made sure to take time to connect with my family and remember what is really important.

There were other great things that happened. I definitely saw God’s hand helping me along.

Take time to express your gratitude to God for all He has done to help you over the last 40 days.  Maybe write a prayer letter to God expressing your thanks.

Psalm 30:4,12 “Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness…. my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.”
