Sometimes I write my prayers. I do this in my journal and when I do, I love to use my purple pen.
I write all my thoughts and all my questions, just like I am praying. Somehow when I am writing I get into this receptive state. I think because writing is much slower than me talking out loud. I have to pause between thoughts to keep up with my writing.
It is great to slow down.
This forces a space to pause and just listen. When I get answers I grab my blue pen and write the answers in blue. It is a little silly to change colors, but I love seeing it that way.
