It is very helpful in life to have appropriate boundaries.  One type of boundary that we usually don’t think about  is energetic boundaries.  What I have found is that if you have good energetic boundaries, it actually helps all your other boundaries be healthier.

Rainbow Boundaries is one of my favorite tools to teach.  It is a way to create energetic boundaries using colors.  Each color represents a different boundary. It is a super easy way to learn boundaries.  Even a 3 year old can do it!

I have a free class I offer to teach people how to do this.  It is a powerful tool and I highly suggest you watch the video.  I will give a brief outline here and you can listen to the meditation, however it may not make much sense unless you watch the video first.

Green – around your heart protects your heart from negative things going on.  We all feel frustrated or angry or hurt.  However, we don’t need to tuck those emotions into our heart.  We can feel them and let them out.  Green boundary around the heart helps protect the heart and keep it clean from the garbage in our lives.

Red – first layer around our body.  About 5 inches off our skin.  This represents a physical boundary.

Orange – second layer. This represents our emotional boundary.  Great for those who feel others emotions.

Blue – Relational Boundary.  This helps our relationships to have healthy boundaries.

Apron – Bonus… imagine tying on an apron with pockets for all the main people in your life.  Immediate family members, etc.  We ask God to fill these pockets with what those people need throughout the day.  It helps keep you from feeling drained.

White – Spiritual Energetic Boundary.

Bonus- mail boxes outside the white layer.  For God to fill for those you need to help but are not immediate family type.  Like friends, people you serve, etc.

Please watch this video to learn more.  Then after I have a simple guided meditation to help you practice it!
