As we close one year and step into another, I want to share a simple reflection practice that has been surprisingly powerful for me.
Recently, I wrote two letters:
- one to my past self
- and one to my future self
The first was a love letter to who I was a year ago. I acknowledged what I carried, what I achieved, and the small and big miracles that shaped me. Speaking it felt tender and grounding—like honoring the journey instead of rushing past it.
The second letter was written forward in time, filled with hope, encouragement, and trust. It held my word for the coming year and reminded me that I don’t walk alone. It was less about controlling the future and more about gently calling it in.
This practice was vulnerable, honest, and deeply connecting. It helped me feel gratitude for where I’ve been and courage for where I’m going—at the same time.
If you’re feeling reflective right now, I’d love for you to try this too. You can write, journal, or even record a voice memo. There’s no right way—just your way.
🎧 I share more about this experience, including my own letters, in this week’s podcast episode.
If you’re craving a quiet moment of reflection and intention, I invite you to listen.

As you move into this new season, I hope you feel held, hopeful, and gently guided forward—together.
With love,
Sheridan
