Kundalini Yoga Meditation

This is a specific type of meditation that includes movement and chanting and is really powerful. It is great for those struggling with depression or anxiety. It can also help with addiction, anger… so many things. There are specific meditations for different issues.

This was the next step I took after doing the Mindfulness app for a month or two, I felt brave enough to do more meditations. My friend Felice was starting a 40 day meditation challenge right around then, so I signed up. Felice teaches Kundalini Yoga online. It was a great next step for me and I loved learning Kirtan Kriya, which is one of the most studied meditations!

Today
Phase 1: Sing “I am a Child of God” and imagine the steps of grounding and shielding as you sing!
Phase 2: Set your timer
Using your finger movements – with a NEW MANTRA
Sing or Chant: “Peace, Be Still” a few times
Whisper “Peace, Be Still” a few times
Silently think Peace (breathing in for about 4 beats)
Pause (2,3,4)
Be (2 beats) Still (2 beats)
Pause (2,3,4)
Whisper “Peace, Be Still” a few times
Sing or Chant: “Peace, Be Still” a few times
(Just have fun playing with these different ways you can include sound in your meditations)
Phase 3: Now pause and be “silent”
Letting your thoughts float by.
