Meditation does NOT have to look like this.

In fact, it is this picture that makes most people afraid to meditate.  Or they try to meditate by sitting still and being quiet. Many quickly decide it is HARD and think, “I can’t meditate!”

There are so many ways to meditate and each type can help you.  So, find the type that works for you!

Here are 8 Types of Meditation:

  1. Sitting quietly with no movement or sound
  2. Standing quietly with no movement or sound
  3. Sitting with movement and no sound
  4. Standing with movement and sound
  5. Sitting with no movement WITH sound
  6. Standing with no movement WITH sound
  7. Sitting with movement AND sound
  8. Standing with movement AND sound

Once I realized I could move while meditating and even make sounds while meditating, that is when it became fun for me.

Today: 

Try using the “Breathe in Peace & Calm, Breathe Out and Smile” exercise while moving.  Maybe on a walk up the stairs or while driving your car.  Or just right now wherever you are, get up and walk or stretch and do it! If you have time you can do it for up to a minute, but even 8 seconds counts!

There are so many ways to meditate and I will cover a few during this 40-day challenge.  Right now, we are just warming up and you are doing great!
