Time your prayers…

Years ago when I took Eternal Warriors I set a goal to pray 5 minutes each morning.  I was interested and timed how long my prayers usually lasted.

I was embarrassed that my prayers lasted 30 seconds to a minute at the most.  It was hard to pray longer because I couldn’t think of more things to pray for.

My prayer sheet helped with that problem!   Now I remember the things I want to pray for.

Also setting a timer helped me.  What I liked about timing my prayers was that if I ran out of things to pray for I would be quiet and pause and be still.  That time allowed space for answers.

Time your daily prayer today.  Were you surprised at the length?  If it is less than you thought try and double it tomorrow!  Are you using a prayer sheet to help you focus?  If not, try it out.

Enos 1:4 “I kneeled down before my Maker, and I cried unto him in mighty prayer… all the day long did I cry unto him; yea and then the night came I did still raise my voice high that it reached the heavens.”
