What our bodies do, our minds follow.
This is an easy 8 second meditation involving the power of a smile. Say in your mind and follow along –
Breathe in while thinking: “Breathe in Peace & Calm….”
Breathe out while thinking: “Breath Out and Smile.”
This simple meditation is inspired from
“Breathing in, I calm body and mind. Breathing out, I smile.” Thich Nhat Hanh.
When you smile, even if you aren’t happy, your bodies release endorphins and feel happier.
This is such an easy and great tool for learning to meditate. Once you have practiced this over and over and are able to get to a place of calm with it. Then you will be able to access that feeling within 8 seconds in a moment of chaos.
Today:
Breathe in while thinking: “Breathe in Peace & Calm”
Breathe out while thinking: “Breath Out and Smile.”
If you only have 8 seconds just do it once. How do you feel?
If you have longer, try doing this for about a minute and notice how you feel.
