 After I read this article the thought or impression came to me to share it with my family; as I was sending the email I also felt I should tell you about a class I have been taking. I have been taking classes (Eternal Warriors) since last October taught by an amazing friend in my ward  (Sheridan) and many of the thoughts in this article are similar to what I have learned in the class. I have told a couple of you about the class and how beneficial it has been for me spiritually but wanted to let you all know in case you are interested. Sheridan does online classes so you could do it from your own home. See her website below if you are interested.

 This class has helped me realize more in depth how some of the basic gospel principles (praying, scripture study, journal writing) if done consistently and effectively can make a huge impact for changing your life. It has really helped me be successful at goals I have been hoping to achieve but failed at for many years. An example of a goal for me was to not yell at Isak & Addy which has been difficult for me in the past.  After taking this class and learning strategies from Sheridan; I can say I am very successful at not yelling! I am not perfect but it has changed me and our home.

It has also shown me how critical praying, reading my scriptures, and journaling are to fight Satan’s personal war against me.  This is still something I am working on and figuring out. This class taught me that Satan’s tactics are much more advanced now; and I am so much more aware.  I had a revelation during this class and realized he was specifically using ‘thoughts’ to confuse me and get me down.  I loved how it was worded in this article as well, “The battle today, between Babylon and Zion, is being waged between the synapses of our brains.” We can become aware of Satan’s specific tools that he is using against us and fight them with what Heavenly Father has provided us. This class taught me these things through daily practice and goes right along with the above article.
